Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this comment! I’m from Indianapolis and Chicago was my go-to party town all through the ‘90s. Love the vibe. I also like all the used bookstores. I had friends who lived off Marina drive and my m.o. was to drive up on a Friday night and return late on Sunday. So much to do there. And Wrigley Field and the streets around it always had such a fun vibe. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to remark on my story. 😀
Lovin this so mucho ! (am a tough crowd - The ‘civility surfs on the ‘Charm - nice finesse ! Thank you for leaving these comments, Thomas, and for the restack! I have read Cormac McCarthy and so love his style. “Blood Meridian” is just… Oh my gosh, so intense! The week after he died I wrote a piece in homage of him called The Bible Salesman: https://danielwdavison.substack.com/p/the-bible-salesman
Wow- A Wrigley Field horror story that has nothing to do with a Cubs loss.
😂😂😂
And I've been there- I attended a game where they were doing interleague play against the Toronto Blue Jays- so I can say that.
That stadium has such a great vibe. And I’m envious of your having been there for the Blue Jays game! 😊
It appears mom saw more in her son than he thought she did!
Indeed. My mom has always known more about me than I know myself. 😀
Beautiful horrific frightening story. Thank you for sharing. It gave me chills.
Noelle, thank you so much for this lovely comment! I’m so glad it had the effect I was aiming at. 😊🙏

Thank you so much, Jennifer!!! 🙏
Great chilling story!
Thank you so much for the comment, Liz!
As a Chicago girl, my appreciation for the Wrigley reference is only topped by the story itself. Great read!
