They are really interesting. I’m enjoying going through them. Some of these I haven’t read since a kid. And the gruesome ones weren’t in my collection. 😊
The moon is the subject of so many wonderful and inventive origin stories. This one may be one of the most interesting I've read! I like how it graduates through various stages, from being a practical tool to an inducement to sinful or "pagan" activities, to finally finding its proper place in the illumination of the Xian cosmos.
I absolutely love your criticism here. I hadn’t thought of it from that angle. It’s true. The moon in the story essentially engages in an everyman’s journey from sin to salvation.
Grimm’s fairy tales are so interesting!!! Love this. Happy Easter! ☀️🌕

Tightly written and engaging.
The last image reminds me of Jackie Gleason's face beaming out of the moon at the start of each episode of "The Honeymooners".
You’re right! 😂 “To the moon, Alice!”

Charming! I love a good tale about the moon.
I love that you are giving these old tales a new lease of life. Thank you for this. Happy Easter!
