They are really interesting. I’m enjoying going through them. Some of these I haven’t read since a kid. And the gruesome ones weren’t in my collection. 😊

The moon is the subject of so many wonderful and inventive origin stories. This one may be one of the most interesting I've read! I like how it graduates through various stages, from being a practical tool to an inducement to sinful or "pagan" activities, to finally finding its proper place in the illumination of the Xian cosmos.

I absolutely love your criticism here. I hadn’t thought of it from that angle. It’s true. The moon in the story essentially engages in an everyman’s journey from sin to salvation.
