Just caught up with this chapter, Daniel as I seem to have missed it when it was published and, all I can say, is goodness me (I could use stronger language but this is a family platform 😁)
I am hugely claustrophobic and the scenes in the tunnels were so real and traumatic that I had to stop and take a breath as I felt I too was trapped down under the earth. You captured it so well Daniel 👏
Brilliantly written and I’m now so pleased I have the next chapter to read straight away 👍🏼😁
That was intense…
Thank you! I’m very claustrophobic, so this was definitely a horrific chapter to write 😀
Yikes, that was harrowing! I've had some panicked, claustrophobic moments crawling through passage tombs, and those are nothing compared to this!
I am absolutely terrified of confined spaces. So was Poe! 😊
Seems to me a likely test of some sort that the Friar was putting Benedict through... what a tale!
Yes, it is part of a test. Thank you for reading and commenting, Frank! 🙏
Very few people would have had the courage to make that journey. Amazing!
Thank you so much, Jim. I channeled all my claustrophobia for this one. 😂 Spelunking was my least favorite scouting excursion.

Thank you so much for the comment again, Daniel. I have a morbid fear of confined spaces. I think that’s the reason Poe resonates with me. 😀
