Thank you so much for leaving the comment! I shared a few of the personality traits of the main character growing up. I amassed a vast collection of pulps by the time I was 20 and ended up selling them all in a bout of despair in my 30s. Yet I’ve managed to re-accumulate over 2.5 metric tons of paper products in the years since. 😖

I lived for a few years in Utah and have been fascinated with its landscape, which feels ripe for UFO encounters, ever since. Two years ago I posted this other horror story that is similarly alien themed: https://danielwdavison.substack.com/p/the-ufo-at-horseshoe-ledge
